We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Loctician, to join our team in Camden

We are looking for someone who is an experienced dreadlock loctician, a background in hairdressing would be an advantage however not absolutely necessary.

You will be joining a lively and fast-paced environment on a part time or full time basis, assisting new and old clients alike with hair-care and advice.

The right candidate will:

  • Have minimum 3 years experience as a loctician.
  • Ideally come from a hairdressing background.
  • Ideally be a loctician who is also a hairdresser.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Live in London or be willing to commute to Camden.

If you are not a loctician but are interested in this amazing opportunity and have 3-5 years  experience working in a salon-based environment, we would also love to hear from you!

Friendly shop. Made an appointment but went early and got in easily. Marlene clearly knows what she's doing and the piercings - two at the top of my ear - were quick and relatively painless. Very pleased with them.

i went to get 2 helix piercings but was indecisive so chose 1 and the lady was so friendly and cooperative. they are also hijab friendly and have a room downstairs if its busy upstairs. she did my helix so neatly and straight and didn’t hurt at all, thank you!!

I received a tattoo from Maria. Two of my friends had been tattooed by her so I wanted to get one too! It was my first tattoo so I was a little nervous but she made me feel so comfortable and the vibe of the shop is just relaxing. We chatted the whole time and there was music in the background. Defo recommend!!

My partner got his first tattoo in the studio downstairs today - the guy was straight to the point, offered aftercare instructions and provided a very comfortable first-experience for my partner. We'd been walking down Camden High St for about an hour and every tattooist we spoke to "um'd and ar'd" about how much the tiny tattoo would cost before quoting upwards of £80!!! This studio offered their services for £40 without any hassle and we were in and out within 30 minutes of being there. Hats off to this guy and his team!

After searching online for ages, I came across Camden Locks Alternative. What's really lovely is that the piercer is woman, which I think is great (especially if its an intimate piercing). The lady who pierced me made me feel very comfortable, guided me through the whole process and she even gave me advice on aftercare and said that I could contact her if I had any problems. I had my tongue pierced and both nips by her and it was such an easy process. I highly recommend Camden Locks Alternative for piercings and will 100%come back for more!!!

My locs are not yet finished, still have another session left. These guys are definitely more expensive than your average loctitian and you can definitely find cheaper elsewhere. I do however, promise you you will not find their skill and talent anywhere else. That is what your paying for, the security of knowing you're in good hands. The staff is lovely and will make sure your locs are done properly and give you the best advice. They make me and my kids very comfortable when we come and don't complain when they start crying. Can't wait for my next appointment!!
